Because the Florida Scrub-Jay is federally-listed as Threatened, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) handles all regulatory actions for scrub-jays. Landowners wishing to develop parcels in Florida scrub-jay habitat, potential habitat, or within review areas should email FW4FLESREGS@FWS.gov or contact a USFWS Ecological Services Field Office.
